Caribbean sunsets and Ventura crew.

All the sunsets in one post.

This was near our cabin. Ahhhhh.

Our cabbie, Darwin who was ace.

Our favourite waiters.
"Prawn cocktail?"

Mohammed, the Head Waiter.

At the airport I won a Rum Cake on SPIN-THE-WHEEL!
I sooooooooo totally cheated by bodging the arrow. :)
I'm glad I did, the cake was delicious.

BARBADOS - I SWAM WITH A TURTLE :)

This was more like it. A beautiful sunny morning in Barbados before we flew home.

We were sipping rum at 9.10am and using our flight pillows on the sun bed, but that is a bit irrelevant because the highlight of the day was seeing a TURTLE in the sea.

Turquoise . One of my favourite colours. And I was in it by 9.15am.

A TURTLE JUST SWAM UNDERNEATH ME so I followed it.

YESYESYESYESYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :)

I SWAM WITH A TURTLE.

Husb spotted a crab scuttling about in the sand which was cute.

There was more scrummy sand,

There was another plank.

I was so happy I did a handstand.

We just had time for a bit of port shopping before we were transferred to the airport..

I didn't need to buy a cricket legend because I married one..

but I DID need to buy this tee shirt because

I DID SWIM WITH A TURTLE IN BARBADOS.

and he was as beautiful as this.

St MAARTIN (Ali-Two-Seas)

We couldn't believe what was parked next to Ventura when we woke up in St Maartin.
Look at the size of it!!
The Royal Caribbean is the largest cruise ship in the world.

I found a SKY BLUE bauble on the tree as we walked to the taxis.

We went straight to ORIENT BAY on the French side of the island.
Beryl-the-Taxi took us (she called me "skinny" haha)
Beryl very kindly dropped us off at the nudist area so we walked along the sand the other way and tried to find a seaweed free patch, but eventually just plonked the towels down here so I could get in the Atlantic rollers. The waves were fabulous fun but they stirred up sand everywhere and seaweed everywhere else, oooeeerrrr. Just as well I had my costume ON.

When it clouded over, Pedro gave us beer, wifi and great reggae.

People had been raving about the shopping in Philipsburg on the Dutch side of the island,
(on Front Street and Back Street) so we went for a mozie.

Was this Front Street or Back Street? I can't remember..

Oooh Philipsburg has the equivalent of the Chester Eastgate clock!

All ways lead to a beach, a shop or some sun.

We sampled guavaberry rum.

I found a bear! Man I love this.

On the way back to Ventura we stopped at the port beach and according to reports, out of all 37 beaches on the island - this is the best! Yay! Calm Caribbean waters were tempting so...

quick, before the heavens opened, I had my second dip of the day MAKING IT
ALI-TWO-SEAS!
Atlantic rollers followed by the calm Caribbean.

I should have swum back to the ship shouldn't I? :)

This was for you, Jean! We didn't have time to get you a pin because we were already having to jog back to the boat, but we DID have time to...

have an icecream haha

There was more music to get us back on board.

and yet another beautiful sunset.

Ah Ken and Jackie. Every time WE stomped the deck, THEY were stomping the other way.
