The 47ers are 60!!!

Sixty?
(With the minds and attitudes of 18 year olds)
You can't stop the clock from ticking but you can celebrate big birthdays so we made a PLAN.
And ended up having one of the funniest weekends ever.
How was it possible to laugh so much without hardly doing anything??!
But we did.

AnneThePan, KP and I met at Chester station, Diesel travelled down from Wigan, JB drove up from Tavi and we all met at SuzyQ's. Well, at Cheltenham anyway.

Our first job was to refuel and hydrate and Suze knew the perfect place.
Just take a look at THIS ...

Afternoon Tea at the Well Walk Tearooms.

On the way we passed The Wilson Cafe.
Nice name, if your name is Mrs Wilson .....

but they didn't do afternoon tea like this. Have another look.

Quaint inside and quite delightful.

We all stayed in Dursley at SuzyQ's house
and what was pretty amazing was the fact that Martin's 30year old cushions looked as good as new, blimey.

The Prosecco flowed. I don't even like Prosecco but it flowed down my throat alright.

And the lucky dip secret santa pillowcase was a hoot.
To be honest EVERYTHING was a hoot.
We couldn't stop giggling.

JB was THRILLED with her apron.

She didn't take it off.

The meal out that night was superb, the fish'n'chips were delicious...

and needless to say we didn't have a very early night.

Hold back the night, turn on the lights
Don't want to dream (dream about you baby)

Sunday lunch at The Old Spot was spot on.
My pre-meal plank burned a calorie before the onslaught of roasties. In my case it WAS an onslaught. I hate waste and I like potatoes so I had Diesel's 4 as well as my own.

We nearly missed the train home because I was too busy buying a horse clock with a waggy tail, and we had an eventful journey home due to a depressed man on the line up north, but hey, we had created some great memories and the 60th celebrations were underway woopwoop!
Australia and New Zealand next. And then a grandchild.

Thank you for having us Suze. See you next time 47ers!
