Ali, You sound like a woman after my own heart. A pity you can't come to a meeting at Moonee Valley with me or me with you to Chester.

Anyway congrats on the win - always a buzz!

OMG OMG Anne wouldn`t that be amazing. You can see the view from the walls to the right of the screen, where I stood last time, for free, cos I couldn`t stay long. This is the annual Ladies Meeting but I always go for comfort and warmth! There were some lovely outfits at the start of the meet but by 9.30 pm they all looked frozen. The rest of our crowd looked fab but none of them got a winner.

Anne, is Moonee Valley in Melbourne? My son has just been working in Sydney for 3 months and had 2 days in Melbourne, went to the MSG stadium, and along the coast in a tour bus... the sunshine coast I believe.I`ll let you know when he posts some photos up on his blogpage.

Moonee Valley is one three Melbourne Race Tracks. It's famous for the running of the prestigious Cox Plate, Australia's premier weight for age handicap, every year a few weeks beofre the Melbourne Cup.

That would be the MCG an acronym for the Melbourne Cricket Ground - an iconic Melbourne site. Also if your son was in Victoria at the time of his coastal trip it was probably the Great Ocean Road - a spectacular scenic route in south west Victoria. The Sunshine Coast is in Queensland.

As for the races, we in OZ are interested in seeing how the Aussie horses Scenic Blast and Takeover Target go at Ascot.
