The "Cygnets" are CHAMPIONS!!!

What a great day WHOOP WHOOP!!

Our Under 18 "Cygnets" were through to the final of the North Cheshire Junior Cricket Association Cup to be played at Little Heath, 2pm.

But even more exciting was the fact that they were playing local rivals Chester Boughton Hall who had a very strong side and began the day as firm favourites.

Brian had prepared the usual Christleton "road" and the ground looked magnificent in the September sun. It was fantastic (especially for the bar) to see so many people there to support these young lads.

Our lads were so up for this!

They batted really well scoring 178 in 20 overs, a tough target for the opposition.

And then we promptly BOWLED THEM ALL OUT WERHOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!

Our scorer John has written the official report HERE

Celebrating after the last wicket.

Matty Astbury topscored for us.

He is wearing an orange Jack McKenzie wrist band in memory of Jack who tragically lost his life recently in a car crash. Because Jack played for both Christleton and Boughton Hall Under 18s, these two teams will meet up every year to play a friendly match in his memory.

Reflecting on the magnitude of the win (and looking so cool)

Cricket tea with Peroni !!!!!!

Greg scored a superb "6" so had to be "sconed"...

and had fresh cream squirted down his back :)

Well he actually only scored 7 in total so it was quite fitting really, well as fitting as his inside out shirt... :)

Well done lads! FANTASTIC!
