Next stop - OLDEN

This was my favourite day. What a totally fantastic, stunningly beautiful place. We docked in the little town of OLDEN, a tiny hamlet of 500ish houses, one school, two churches and a few shops and would you BELIEVE IT a bouncy castle provided by AndyJ of Ellesmere Port. I refused to photograph it but we couldn't believe it when we saw the 0151 number on the side, wotahoot.

Without further ado we took a taxi bus to the famous BRIKSDALE GLACIER. More scenery overload on the way.

The Briksdale Glacier is part of the Iostedal Glacier Icefield, the largest in Europe, and it certainly was impressive.  We walked the mile and a half trail up to it. (A golf buggy type cart was available for the less able.)

IT RUMBLED!! And a flurry of snow was dislodged! YIKES!!!
It didn't half make us jump.

We didn't get the tea and cakes as described in the video below because we made our own way there but it was worth embedding!

That was morning. There was plenty of time left to be whisked round the fjord on a Rigid Inflatable Boat which was so so so sooooooo much FUN!!! We even "raced" a helicopter (the RIB driver and the helicopter pilot were neighbours)

I must have had maximum goggle suction as I was sitting in the front of the RIB... I had goggle lines on my face for about 4 hours afterwards haha =) BUT IT WAS SUCH FUN, WOO!

45 minutes of WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

With an hour to spare we then had a walk round Olden just admiring the view.

The sail out was just as picturesque.

I LOVE sparkly water.

Emma Olivia's jewellery to complete a perfect day.
