Sydney. SYDNEY!!!!!

So The Hollindales are world travellers now!
The Hollindales have been to Australia!
"The Hollindales" and "Australia" in the same sentence.
We still can't really believe it.

But Big Birthdays need a bit of celebrating so off we went and the journey began at Chester station.

"Are we nearly there yet?"

Next stops...

London.
Dubai.
SYDNEY!!

We made it! We made it to the other side of the world!

The walking tour, when we got there, was a GENIUS idea.
It kept us awake till we met our friend from college, Kayze.

The Queen Victoria building was pretty fab with its lovely clocks.

And it had a boomerang shop.
Now it really did feel like Australia!

St Mary's cathedral opposite Hyde Park.
Hyde Park hosted the first ever cricket matches in Sydney and the first ever horseracing.

We remembered The Cubster living in Macquarie Street when he lived in Syney for three months so we were keen to see his appartment block. But first we met Lachlan Macquarie himself.

On a podium.As a statue.

Mr Wild Boar was a gift from Italy to Sydney.

This anchor and cannon was The Actual Anchor and Cannon from the First Ever Ship that arrived in Sydney from Great Britain.

And then we saw it!!!!!

It ABSOLUTELY HAD to be featured in a plank photo.
We REALLY REALLY WERE in Australia.
However many times we pinched ourselves.
(And still are)

The Sydney Harbour Bridge
(The Coathanger)

The highlight so far!
It was so good to see her.

She took us to the Lord Nelson for fishnchips.
I wouldn't be the only time we had fishnchips here.
They were magnificent.
Proper tasty.

And as we were remarkably unjetlagged, we had a lovely evening walk around the Opera House.

This was the view of Sydney Town Hall, all pretty in pink from our hotel balcony

GREAT FIRST DAY!
Australia, though.
AUSTRALIA!!!
