Grand Canyon Skywalk extends 65 feet (20 meters) over the edge of the Grand Canyon's West Rim. Located at Eagle Point on the Hualapai Indian tribal lands, the Skywalk soars4000 feet (1200 meters) above the canyon floor. This engineering marvel provides the vistor with a genuine bird's-eye view of the Grand Canyon. The glass floor is designed to support the weight of nearly 800 hundred people, 100 mph winds, and major earthquakes. Visitors are given shoe covers to prevent the highly polished glass floor from being scratched.

EAGLE POINT |
As you can see there are no barriers, no safety railings, just common sense.
"Leave a space for George"
Lunch was provided at the top with all the food being prepared at the "airport" at the bottom.
What a great experience.
We were back in time for an evening at the theatre so we bought tickets to see a Cirque du Soleil production called MYSTERE... at the TI hotel (Treasure Island) It was a bit of an odd storyline but WOW amazing acrobatics which seemed even more amazing because we were on the 4th row back. My heart was in my mouth for a lot of it but that kept me awake.... all the early starts and a bit of jet lag had confused my body clock enough.
The show finished in time for us to watch the ridiculous pirate ship battle outside. They certainly know how to put on a good show in Vegas. But it was so over the top. Very amusing.
We followed the Pyramid beam back to the Luxor!
We were having a brilliant time and another full day to enjoy tomorrow.

Amazing how much you packed in here! This is only your second day, isn't it? Not sure I could have faced that glass floor - marvellous way to appreciate the place though!
Yes, second day (YAWN!) Looking through the glass floor wasn't half as scary as looking through a grid iron floor would have been. The layers of glass slightly mellowed the drop if you know what I mean....
