Boro v Cov PUSB 29/1/22

Well this was just the BEST day.

All that vinegary goodness with Phil’s brother Chris, an art installation called Temenos, a lager and a good game of footy with Phil’s sister Jill, a goal for Boro (after we’d had all the ball grrrr)
and fun with the Bells on the way home.
Just brilliant.

TEMENOS IS FOUND CLOSE TO Middlesbrough Football Club’s Riverside Stadium and the famous Transporter Bridge. The 21st-century landmark was designed to remember the town’s engineering and industrial heritage.

The giant dual-ringed public art installation was erected in 2010. Thousands of meters of steel wire are woven between the two steel rings to create the 164-foot-high (50 meters) and 360-foot-long (110 meters) sculpture.

NYD 2021 SALTBURN

Brilliant New Year's Day on Saltburn beach, flying kites and eating mushy peas.
A great start to the year 2022.

CHRISTMAS 2021 and NEW YEAR

As usual I was busy on my sewing machine...

and I had some brilliant cards....

...and the Knee made me a fabulous wooden AliHolli snowman!

On Christmas Day WE SAW A SPARROW HAWK!
It totally made hubby's day and it wasn't even 9am yet.
We had a lovely pre-dinner walk at Parkgate.

Our Boxing Day walk was in Eastham Woods.
The birdlife was fascinating and the storm damage was very evident, there were trees down everywhere.

Our Dec 27th walk was across to Hilbre Island where the planks were plentiful.

And then we went to Darlo!

Panto time!
What a treat for my birthday...the lovely Faye Tozer from Steps was starring in Cinderella!

There was birthday cake.

And THE LAST PLANK OF 2021.

We made the paper running the New Year's Day Parkrun!

...and there is always plenty of tea when we get home.
