Victoria.
Smell by smell.
The market had the strongest smell of all.
Fish.
Some cruisers didn't even venture inside.
There was a strong smell of vanilla in a lot of places.
The Spar smelt of mothballs.
But really it was fish,fish,fish.
Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple.
Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple.
It is tiny and no more heavily decorated than any other Hindu Temple but it is notable for its beautiful rainbow colours against the tin roofs of the Seychelles capital of Victoria.
Named after Vinayagar, the Hindu God of Safety and Prosperity...
...and inside...the very same sound system I use for my Spin class.
The local bus that took us to the beach was an experience.
They just kept getting ON.
And then a few more did.
We tried a local beer.
Half was enough.
And there were yet more smells.
Sea and salt and fish.
We spotted a Red FODY bird on our walk back to the ship...
...via the hypermarket which couldn't have been more different to outside in the town.
Spotlessly clean, fanatical security,(no bags), impeccable shelving etc, it reminded us of Oman.
Back on board we went to dance class,
and spruced up for dinner.
