The transistion day from Darlo up to Amble included an hour's soft play mid journey..
Then we carried on up to Amble to find our pitch, and we enjoyed a brew with a bit of Andy's amazing fruitcake, cut with my SkyBlue knife.
Amble is fab!
Very picturesque.
I was in my element with all the reflections in the water.

Team Ice Cream
We watched the fishermen going about their daily lives...
..they had caught boxes and boxes of langoustines and halibut.
The Bells went back for bath and bedtime,
and
we carried on along the headland which stretched for miles and OBVIOUSLY I did a plank.
It was a lovely evening walk which brought us back to the car via the golf course.
Would you be surprised if I told you we didn't have tea till 10pm?!
WEDS 23rd AUG 2021
Well this was a brilliant day!
We walked through the dunes on to Warkworth beach..
...and while the girls dug, the other girlies made shapes...
...then Husb and I snuck off for a little treat...
Afternoon Tea in Alnwick Gardens.
But first a little amble around the gardens.
Knitted lights
And then it was time!
Those tarts though..
oooooosh!
It was one of the nicest I've had and I've had a few.
But it needed working off so we had a walk, chase, rollaround Warkworth Castle grounds with the occasional hide'n'seek and a Who's that Triptrapping over Myyyyy Bridge...
and then we finished a splendid day with an evening walk over Alnmouth sands which was so picturesque with the moon on the water.
Then lo and behold we chanced upon another golf course!
Chief''s favourite golf course!
Gosh that first hole looks hard.
You'd think that that was the perfect end to a perfect day wouldn't you but there was more to come. Afternoon Tea was AGES ago...and we needed more cals.
Carlo's of Alnwick was voted 3rd best chippy in the country.
There was no chance of a cheese toastie knowing that, was there!
F'n'Ch it was!
I blame Andy Phelan haha :)
