Whitby (Campervan one) 16/8/21

CAMPERVAN ADVENTURE!

Well, it was an interesting start.
I burnt my eye (!!ONLY ME eh?!!) the night before, so I set off with a really sore eye.
When we got to Keighley we had to drive round Keighley roundabout about 20 times before we eventually found Bronte Motor Hire.
Then Husb left his very important bag of money, credit card and passports on the back of a chair in Morrisons, resulting in a SPRINT  back to see if it had been handed in.
(It had)
So not the greatest start to the week...
but...
once we had transferred all our stuff from car to camper, we flew up to Hinderwell, set up the bed and headed straight to the pub for tea.

DAY ONE

We walked down a VERY steep hill  to Runswick Bay...and then had to come back up again.
OOOH HELLO CALVES

Then headed off to WHITBY
(Why make the bed??)

Walked up to the Abbey and stood on the wall for photos.

Tootled about the shops and harbour.
Went to THE MAGPIE CAFE for beautiful f'n'ch served with proper soaked peas and Yorkshire Tea...FAB!

PLANKED.

Walked along the beach at Sandsend which included a swift half of Estrella Damm..

and I won at Score Rummy before we snuggled down for the night.
