8 Whitley Bay 25/8/21

Our last beach morning was COLD, we didn't stay long!

But Cold + Campervan = CUPPA in the CARPARK

The Bells headed home about lunchtime so they could have a swim in the Dolly but WE DID'NT!
We made a very inspired GENIUS stop-off at Whitley Bay and OMG what a great place.
We would be coming here again without a doubt.

Husb had arranged a little meet up with Phil who used to live in Chester, who now lives in Whitley Bay.We met in THE SPANISH CITY made famous by Dire Straits in their song The Tunnel of Love.

So a pint with Phil followed by Pensioner F'n'Ch under the White Dome of the Spanish City and a huge shiny pot of tea..... before our next pitch for the night...Middleton on Teesdale
where we were greeted with the words
"Do you want to buy this Motorhome?"

Literally the first words he said.
He must have read Campervan HIRE on the side of our van and thought he could get a sale out of us.
To be fair, ours does look tiny amongst these beasts doesn't it.
