Seaton Sluice

What a hoot.
We intended going to Seaton Sluice via a school boy/county cricket match but completely forgot(!) and on automatic pilot drove to Darlo instead (oops!)  (to the delight of the grandgirls) so we all went into town, the centre of which had been converted into a massive sandy beach with buckets and spades and diggers etc ...and some bouncy bouncy fairground type rides.
What a bonus.

It was a nice couple of  hours which broke up the journey...
then we carried on up to the Sluice ...

which was ace...

A plank needed to be done as we've not had a plank from a Sluice before...

and on recommendation from Geordie Ian, it was f'nch (with plenty of peas please) in
The Melton Constable pub....

which we walked off by srolling along the beach to the lighthouse at Blyth.
