Runswick Bay to Sandsend and Saltburn 1/8/22

We walked to Runswick Bay from Hinderwell
and down the hill we went.
What goes down must come back up ...and we did... after a walk along the beach...

The way back up was up these steps...

and thus began the coastal walk along the clifftop to Sandsend.

We hadn't 100% thought this through as our snackattack supplies and pacamacs were in Home Bargains carrier bags. People doing the coastal path the opposite way were coming towards us with backpacks and snazzy drink tubes...and we just looked like we'd been shopping.

HOW WAS THE NORTH SEA SO BLUE!!
It was fabulous.

Approaching Sandsend.

...where we got the bus back to Hinderwell and then promptly jumped in the car and headed to Saltburn for some sand sculpting in Goose's socks.

Looks big doesn't it!!

It wasn't. 😊
